Abokado urges London coffee lovers to raise funds for UK Coffee Week

The healthy eating chain is taking part in UK Coffee Week (10th to 16th April).

Abokado will support Project Waterfall, a nationwide fundraising initiative to bring clean drinking water and sanitation to coffee growing communities.

Ten pence from every coffee (or hot beverage) sold across its 29 stores next week will go directly towards Project Waterfall.

In addition to this Abokado is encouraging its customers to donate one pound for a chance to enter its ‘Feel Great’ competition to win a week’s worth of free coffee! The money raised from this will also go towards Project Waterfall.

Customers will be encouraged to donate a pound to enter the competition, stating on a comment card what makes them feel great. A winner will be picked from each store.

Director Mark Lilley said: “My wife Lindsay and I created Abokado 13 years ago from a passion to help people lead happier and healthier lives. I feel that UK Coffee Week shares the same values and we couldn’t be happier to be getting involved again this year. I hope that our customers will dig deep to help us support this very worthwhile cause.”

Abokado was recently featured in Shortlist Magazine for its artisan, hand-crafted coffee supplied by East End coffee roasters Climpson & Sons.
