Lunya launches upsized restaurant at Liverpool One
In the first three days of opening, Lunya reported that trade grew by 40% year-on-year.
Lunya, the family-owned Catalunyan restaurant bar and deli, has opened a new 5,500 square feet restaurant in Liverpool ONE, located on the corner of College Lane and Hanover Street.
Following a £200,000 investment by founders Elaine and Peter Kinsella, the new site has enabled the business to expand its shop front and combine the dining area, bar and deli into one open plan space.
The restaurant, designed by DifferentStudio, features a relaxed, traditional and informal setting. A 20-foot mural spanning both floors joins a 140 square feet map of Spain installed in the restaurant, highlighting the locations of Lunya’s key suppliers and the story of the people and the land behind the produce. In addition, the owners have kept two pieces of artwork in the style of Antoni Gaudi, commissioned for their original site when it opened eight years ago.
