Greggs launches its annual limited edition #PastySanta bags

The red festive paper bags feature a Santa image that you can face swap with on Snapchat.

The festive #PastySanta packaging in which Greggs’ savouries are served in over Christmas, also feature a big white beard on the reverse so when customers bite into a Festive Bake or sausage roll, it looks like they are wearing a Santa Claus beard.

The festive beards are being used as part of Greggs’ selfie/face swap competition using the #PastySanta hashtag which runs from 22 November – 12 December. There will be daily prizes with the best entries winning Greggs gift codes that can be redeemed in store.

A Greggs spokesperson, said: “Our #PastySanta bag is back bigger and better than ever this year. Last week the countdown officially started for our fans with the launch of the Festive Bake, since then social media has been flooded with people wanting to show off their festive spirit, so we thought we'd go one better this year and offer the ultimate chance to face swap with Santa. Face swapping is a huge craze so we really wanted to bring something different to the competition this year."

"There are hundreds of prizes up for grabs and as well as our bags, the British public will also have the opportunity to face swap with Santa live on the street as part of our outdoor advertising campaign.”

The Greggs Festive Bake is made from pieces of chicken breast, sage & onion stuffing and sweetcure bacon in a creamy sage and cranberry sauce. All wrapped in golden puff pastry with a crunchy crumb topping, and available from £1.50.

Greggs’ savoury Christmas menu also includes a Christmas Toastie, Turkey & Honey Roast Ham Baguette, Turkey, Bacon & Cranberry Roll and Christmas Lunch Soup.
