The online food ordering platform launched a series titled “Jay and David: From Chow Mein to Fame”.
The comedic content has been created as part of the brand’s CRM strategy and features Pride of Britain winner and First Dates star, Jay Kamiraz and his sidekick David Smith, who made their debut in hungryhouse’s original TV advert in 2016.
The trilogy of videos showcases the genuine, unscripted lives of the friends, using comedy to reinforce the nation’s love of reality TV and good quality takeaway. The episodes will be released on a weekly basis throughout May, leaving customers waiting to find out what happens next in the lives of Jay and David.
Beth James, Head of Brand & Culture, said: “Following the success of Jay & David’s appearance in our reality-style TV advert last year, we wanted to capture humorous and authentic footage of the pair as they go about their daily lives. hungryhouse is a brand that connects with customers by utilising real people in advertising - and so we thought what better way to celebrate Britain’s love of reality TV & takeaway, than by bringing Jay & David back to our screens!"
