Cult chicken shop Morley’s is readying itself for an ambitious national expansion after experiencing success outside its south London home in recent years.
In an interview with iNews, managing director Shan Selvendran said the time “feels right” to take a tilt at going nationwide. He has now franchised more than 80 shops, with two recent additions in Southend, the first to launch beyond the M25.
Selvendran, whose father founded the fast food brand in 1985, is talking to potential operators as far as Newcastle, with Leeds and Brighton two other cities expected to get their first Morley’s in 2021.
