Chaiiwala opens first Welsh motorway express café at Magor
It follows the brand’s motorway debut at Watford Gap Services in 2025.
Chaiiwala has opened an express-format café at Roadchef Magor on the M4, marking its first location with the motorway services operator in Wales.
The 320 sq ft site, which opened on 12 August, is Chaiiwala’s second café in Wales after Cardiff.
It follows the brand’s motorway debut at Watford Gap Services in 2025 and the opening of a larger container-format café at Sandbach Services last month.
The Magor site serves Chaiiwala’s Karak Chaii, made on site with a seven-spice blend, alongside Wala Wraps, breakfast wraps, rice bowls, Bombay Toasties, desserts, and hot and cold drinks.
The Leicester-founded chain, established in 2015, operates across a range of formats, including high streets, shopping centres, drive-thrus, airports, universities, and travel hubs.
Its motorway sites are part of an expansion strategy that includes a target of 500 locations worldwide over the next decade.
The company is increasingly using compact formats such as its motorway and container cafés to enter high-footfall locations and serve customers looking for food and drinks whilst travelling.
