Zambrero opens first development agent-supported UK site in Rochdale
The new site has created six jobs and offers seating for 18 customers.
Zambrero has opened a restaurant in Rochdale, marking the brand’s first UK opening supported by its Development Agent model.
The site on Mellor Street opened on 25 September 2026 and has created six jobs.
It offers dine-in, takeaway, and delivery, with seating for 18 customers.
The restaurant is located near Rochdale town centre and local colleges.
Its menu includes burritos, bowls, tacos, nachos, and quesadillas, with vegetarian, vegan, and halal options.
The opening was supported by Zambrero’s Greater Manchester and West Yorkshire Development Agents, Damian Bennett and Dawn Catherall, who provided local guidance and recommendations to the franchise partner.
The restaurant has been opened by a multi-brand franchise operator who has also committed to opening multiple Zambrero sites.
Rochdale is Zambrero’s second UK opening in September, following the launch of its Brackmills, Northampton, location earlier in the month.
The new restaurant brings Zambrero’s UK estate to 18 locations since entering the market in 2021.
Its existing sites span London, Manchester, Birmingham, Reading, Essex, Basingstoke, Northampton, and Glasgow.
Zambrero is targeting 100 UK locations by 2030 through its franchise programme.
Globally, the brand has more than 350 locations across Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, the US, and the UK.
