Pret A Manger taps Anita McDonnell as new International President
She will replace Eira Jarvis, who exits at year-end after 13 years with Pret.
Pret A Manger has appointed Anita McDonnell as the new international president, with the role taking effect in late August.
McDonnell will oversee Pret’s operations in Europe, Asia, and Africa, working with Felipe Athayde, president of North America, and Ross Warnes, president of the UK and Ireland.
The three executives will be responsible for expanding the company’s business across its 21 international markets.
She joins Pret from Taco Bell, where she was managing director for the Asia-Pacific (APAC) and the Middle East and previously served as the region’s chief growth officer.
McDonnell has spent two decades working in global food and beverage businesses, including franchise-led operations at Taco Bell, Domino's, and Costa Coffee.
Her previous roles involved managing franchise partnerships and overseeing growth across markets in APAC, the Middle East, and Europe.
McDonnell replaces Eira Jarvis, who will leave Pret at the end of the year after 13 years with the company.
Jarvis helped develop Pret’s operations in Asia and other international markets but has decided to remain in the region instead of relocating to the UK, where the international president role will be based.
Jarvis will remain with Pret until the end of the year to assist with the transition.
