wagamama is expanding its joint venture (JV) with Indian restaurant platform Charcoal Concepts as The Restaurant Group (TRG)-owned brand steps up its expansion in India.
The partners plan to open at least 100 wagamama restaurants across the country over the next 10 years.
The financial terms of the expanded JV have not been disclosed.
The announcement comes as wagamama opens its fourth Indian restaurant in Mumbai.
Charcoal Concepts is the multi-brand restaurant platform owned by K Hospitality Corp.
Its portfolio includes Indian brands Copper Chimney and Bombay Brasserie, as well as international brands including wagamama.
TRG operates several restaurant and pub brands in the UK, with wagamama, Barburrito, and Brunning & Price amongst its principal trading brands.
