Auntie Anne’s UK&I expansion gains momentum as H1 sales hit £7.4m
The company is targeting 100 locations across the UK and Ireland by 2030.
Auntie Anne’s UK & Ireland reported a 10% increase in system sales to £7.4m for the six months ended 30 June, as the pretzel chain continued its expansion across the region.
The business, which opened its first UK store in 2008, now operates almost 50 franchised locations.
Growth during the period was supported by new store openings and higher average order values.
Auntie Anne’s opened three new locations in the first half of the year, including a container store in Canterbury and kiosks at Swords Pavilions and Tallaght Square in Dublin.
These followed openings in Cheshire Oaks, Crawley County Mall, Manchester Arndale, and Livingston during the second half of 2025.
The company attributed higher customer spend to new product launches and promotional partnerships.
Recent releases included Salted Caramel Pretzel Nuggets, a Valentine’s Day heart-shaped pretzel, and a partnership with Red Bull to expand its drinks range.
The franchise business has also invested in technology, operations, and supply chain improvements, which it said have supported franchisee performance and consistency across stores.
Auntie Anne’s plans to continue expanding its UK and Ireland presence, with further openings planned in high-footfall retail and travel locations.
After the reporting period, it opened its second Scottish site, a flagship store at Frasers Plus Braehead in Glasgow.
The company is targeting 100 locations across the UK and Ireland by 2030.
