McDonald’s brings international menu favourites to UK&I

It features items from Germany, Canada, Australia, the Netherlands, China, India, and the UAE.

McDonald’s is bringing a selection of menu items from seven markets to its UK and Ireland restaurants as part of its World Menu Heist promotion.

Launching on 22 September for a limited time, the line-up features items from Germany, Canada, Australia, the Netherlands, China, India, and the UAE.

The menu includes the Big Rösti from Germany and Maple & Cheddar Chicken from Canada, alongside two breakfast items from Australia: the Chicken & Egg McMuffin and Chicken & Bacon McMuffin.

The Big Rösti features a British and Irish beef patty, crispy potato rösti, streaky bacon, cheese, baconnaise, and cheese sauce in a toasted glazed sesame bun. It will be available until 19 October.

The Maple & Cheddar Chicken combines a crispy chicken breast fillet with cheddar cheese, onions, lettuce, tomato, maple mustard sauce, and citrus mayo in a toasted poppy-and-sesame-seed bun. It will also be available until 19 October.

For sides, the UAE’s Mac & Cheese Triangles return after appearing in last year’s World Menu Heist.

The crispy, macaroni-filled triangles come with a cheddar cheese sauce filling and tomato ketchup dip. They will be available until 16 November.

The Netherlands’ Paprika McShaker Fries feature McDonald’s fries served with a smoky paprika seasoning sachet and shaker bag, also available until 16 November.

The S’mores McFlurry from Canada combines soft dairy ice cream with marshmallows, biscuit crumb, and chocolate sauce. The dessert will be available until 16 November.

The promotion also includes Szechuan Sauce from China, a sweet and savoury sauce with mild Szechuan pepper heat, and Guava x Sprite Zero from India, which combines Sprite Zero with guava-flavoured syrup.

Both will be available until 16 November and 19 October, respectively.

Australia’s Chicken & Egg McMuffin and Chicken & Bacon McMuffin will mark their first appearance in the World Menu Heist line-up.

Both feature crispy-coated chicken, cheese, and mayonnaise in a toasted English muffin, with the former adding egg and the latter bacon.

They will be available until 16 November.
