Papa John's launches Italian flatbread-style pizza sandwich range

The items are launched across 23 markets.

Papa John’s unveiled its new Papadia range of Italian flatbread-style pizza sandwiches.

Part pizza, part sandwich, the Papadias are launched in 23 markets around the world and are inspired by the ‘piadina’, an Italian folded flatbread sandwich from Northern Italy.

Amongst the recipes on offer in selected markets around the world will be the Philly Cheesesteak, BBQ Chicken and Italian Sausage and Pepperoni.

“The Papadia is crafted from Papa John’s fresh, never-frozen original dough and filled with a range of delicious, fresh ingredients. Papa John's has created ten different Papadia recipes in total, each hand-stretched, oven-baked, and hand-folded to order. Different countries will choose which recipes to launch in their individual markets,” Jo Blundell, vice president for international marketing at Papa John's, said.
