QSRs have kicked off 2021 by launching a varied range of vegan offerings throughout the month for Brits taking part in Veganuary.

Papa John’s is showcasing three new menu items: the Not-Chicken Vegan Bites, a Vegan Cheese Stuffed Crust, and The Alice Tai pizza.

Burger King created the Vegan Bean Burger, a plant-based version of the popular Veggie Bean Burger.

Ole & Steen said its vegan Passionfruit 'cream' cake is returning alongside their brand new Smoked 'Gouda' & 'No-duja toastie.

Itsu said its Meatless Meatballs rice bowl is now bigger, along with their new Veggie Meatballs & Coconut soup, Vegan Teriyaki Gyoza and Dynamite Miso Soup.

Pho said they teamed up with THIS ISN’T CHICKEN and said more than 40% of our main menu is now plant-based.

Costa Coffee lifted the lid on its new limited-edition Latte+ drinks range, consisting of Caramel Oat Latte+, Vanilla Coconut Latte+ and the Hazelnut Almond Latte+.

LEON launched its vegan DIY burger kit, created in partnership with British meat-free brand Meatless Farm, along with a vegan subscription service.

Pret A Manger launched nine new vegan menu options, headlined by a meatless vegan meatball wrap.

Subway launched its 'TLC' (Tastes Like Chicken) sub, made with plant-based ingredients.

Taco Bell announced a new plant-based meat protein filling, made with Gold&Green’s Pulled Oats, as an option for their burritos, quesadillas and other menu items.

Wahaca’s vegan menu includes the Mexican falafel taco, vegan Nachos, a Black bean & cheese quesadilla and a Mushroom enchilada.

Honest Burgers launched the “Jamaica” as their special item for this month, the plant-based version of which features a plant-based burger, This Isn't Bacon, vegan smoked gouda, apricot & scotch bonnet ketchup, plantain fritters, Jamaican curry 'mayo' and lettuce.

Dirty Vegan developed a brand-new restaurant kit, which includes Beyond Meat burgers, bake-at-home cookies from Vida bakery and MEDA drinks.

Starbucks started the year with a new range of plant-based options, including the Beyond Meat breakfast sandwich, a barbecue bean hot wrap, and an original nut blend.

Wagamama’s newest meat-free alternatives include vegan chilli squid, sticky ribs and No Duck Donburi which contains less than 650 calories.

Tortilla has partnered with London start-up Club Cultured to offer the new Vegan Chilli No Carne, made with organic tempeh.

Artisan Bakery chain Coughlans teamed up with THIS to launch a vegan bacon turnover and vegan bacon roll.

Data from Deliveroo revealed an increase in demand for vegan food in the last twelve months, with orders of plant-based dishes up 163% on the previous year. According to the delivery firm, the first week of January 2021 has already seen a 153% rise in searches for ‘vegan’ food in the app compared to the month before.
