The chain wants to hasten its mobile ordering experience.
Pizza Hut Restaurants said its stores across the country now have Apple Pay as part of their order and pay-at-table facilities as touchless experiences in the UK continue to rise.
“Pizza Hut is excited to introduce Apple Pay for its customers, and help to make their mobile ordering experience easier and safer,“ Pizza Hut Restaurants’ systems manager Guy Scott-South said in a media release.
The Apple Pay integration was done by Swipen, one of the country’s merchant service companies offering the service in the UK. According to them, almost 30% of Pizza Hut customers preferred to pay for their order using the system on the first day.
Meanwhile, Pizza Hut Delivery, which planned to add 125 stores over three years, appointed property specialist Christie & Co to assist them in acquiring new sites by converting existing operators to franchisees.
“Pizza Hut Delivery has been a beloved brand in communities across the UK for decades and we’re excited to build on this strength and continue expanding our reach in the UK,” Pizza Hut Delivery general manager for UK Neil Manhas said.
