Pizza Hut teams up with Amazon to bring flexible ordering via Alexa

The companies collaborated to introduce pizza ordering via Alexa, starting December 15.

Pizza Hut is expanding its ordering capabilities to include Alexa Voice Service on Amazon Echo, Amazon Tap, Echo Dot, Amazon Fire TV and Fire tablets. With a simple phrase, customers can order pizza delivered to their homes all across the country.

The Pizza Hut skill provides Alexa users the ability to order their pizzas from their favourites, past orders, or directly from a menu of the most popular items from Pizza Hut.

"Pizza Hut has and always will be devoted to serving customers pizza anywhere, anyhow, and anyway, and using the latest technology is no exception," Doug Terfehr, Senior Director, Public Relations and Partnerships for Pizza Hut, said.

"Amazon is great to work with and the Pizza Hut skill on Alexa is unlike any other pizza brand with flexible ordering from a menu of options without lifting a finger."

"We're thrilled to be collaborating with Pizza Hut to give customers hands-free, convenient ordering of pizza," said Rob Pulciani, Director, Amazon Alexa.

"Ordering from Pizza Hut pizza by just using your voice from inside the comfort of your home is a wonderful experience."
