Popeyes signs up 100,000 loyalty members in first week

This was equivalent to one sign-up every seven seconds.

Popeyes UK reported over 100,000 customers signed up to its programme, Popeyes Rewards, within the first week of launch, exceeding the company’s launch targets.

Popeyes Rewards launched nationwide on 2 September through the Popeyes app, attracting more than 78,000 sign-ups in its first five days.

The scheme enables registered customers to earn 100 points for every £1 spent on eligible purchases, which can be redeemed against Popeyes menu items.

The chicken chain said it has reached 200,000 customers in just over two weeks, equivalent to one new sign-up every seven seconds.

Engagement has also been strong. Popeyes has issued almost 400 million points since launch, and more than 72,000 members have already claimed a reward. Nearly three-quarters have redeemed a new Popeyes Chicken Cruncher, whilst a further 15% selected fries as their reward.

The “Mardi Gras Moments” concept, inspired by the brand’s New Orleans roots, is also now live. The draw, open to all members, offers the chance to be crowned Lord of Mardi Gras and win £10,000 cash as well as free Chicken Sandwiches for life.
