Patisserie Valerie, the UK's largest Patisserie Cafe chain has just launched a revamped website and it contains a raft of unique features.
Chief amongst the updates is an interactive cake creation tool. Allowing customers to customise all elements of their cake, the resulting creation is then prepared to order in the Patisserie Valerie bakeries.
The innovation is a first for a national cake producer and is considered a smart move, as it recognises customers increasing preference for customised goods and services.
But that is not the only innovation, as customers can also take a virtual tour of the chain's cafes. Designed with a bespoke overlay, the enhanced tours allow viewers to click on 'hotspots' whilst touring around each cafe to access further information and features.
Speaking of the new website, Paul May, CEO of Patisserie Valerie said "The new interactive tools give the customer an opportunity to tailor their purchases through create a cake and offers a virtual 'try before you buy' experience through virtual tours... the new website will enhance our customer connection and experience with the brand".
