LEON switches to 100% UK solar power for the summer
The solar energy that will power LEON will come from over 1,000 sites across the UK.

Following the brand’s announcement of power switch from a mix of UK renewable energy to 100% UK solar power from the summer solstice, their summer menu is unveiled as well.
As its philosophy to be kind to the planet, the new ‘hero’ summer dish (South Indian Spiced Fish) is made using smoked coley from sustainable Scottish shoals and seasonal British runner beans. Other new dishes include a Coronation-ish Chicken Salad (made with British chicken), a vegan-friendly falafel wrap, halloumi and smashed avocado burger and pots of avocado hummus.
Not wanting to waste what nature creates, LEON will launch Hash Brown Bites – hot out the innovation oven, these are the crispy unused fries of yesterday, smashed up with an egg and freshly baked for today.
“At LEON we worship at the altar of the sun. We think it is the most epic source of energy for us here on earth. Our Summer Seventeen menu will bring you the best of nature’s solar powered produce. We think nature has humankind’s best interests at heart so the more natural the food, the better it is for you,” Kirsty Saddler, Director of Brand and Marketing at LEON said.
LEON has also announced a partnership with The Gut Doctor, Dr Megan Rossi. Dr Megan is a registered dietician and nutritionist with a PhD in gut health.
