Pret A Manger expands in Newcastle with Eldon Square outlet

The new outlet is expected to create 15 new local jobs.

Pret A Manger will open a new store on Eldon Square in Newcastle on 20 December.

This will be the chain’s second location in the city, alongside its existing outlet on Northumberland Street, and marks the 25th opening with franchise partner Exultant Group.

The shop will offer Pret’s range of sandwiches, salads, hot food, snacks, baked goods, and seasonal items, as well as coffee, tea, and other drinks prepared by baristas.

Customers can also join Club Pret, which provides discounted drinks for a monthly fee.

The store has seating for around 100 people, and delivery options are available through Deliveroo, Uber Eats, and Just Eat.

The opening will create 15 jobs. Unsold food will be donated to charity through The Pret Foundation.

Opening hours are Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, Saturday from 8:30 am to 6 pm, and Sunday from 10 am to 4:30 pm.
