Founders of Palomar to launch their second concept
Siblings Layo and Zoë Paskin are opening Jacob the Angel, an English coffee house.
The store will be located at 16a Neal’s Yard and is due to open in mid-August. Positioned adjacent to The Barbary in Seven Dials, Jacob the Angel is a 300 square feet site designed by Layo Paskin, in collaboration with Gundry & Ducker and Here Design.
The coffee house will serve breakfast, lunch and tea every day. Whilst the offerings will mostly be takeaway, there will also be seating for ten inside and a small outdoor area that will seat three. The team are finalising a menu that will include freshly-baked cakes, pastries and pies, sandwiches and seasonal salads, updated daily.

Neal’s Yard was the perfect location for The Barbary and it is very special to have a second project from established restauranteurs launching in the same location. Independent and original debuts like Jacob the Angel and The Barbary are key to Shaftesbury’s strategy of maintaining a unique and exciting offer in the heart of the West End.”
Layo Paskin, co-founder, added, “The opportunity to take this space in Neal’s Yard was too good to pass up. We love the area, full of other thriving independent restaurants and boutique shops and it struck us as the ideal location to launch something that is very different to the other catering concepts we’ve launched. We look forward to continue working with Shaftesbury and the Seven Dials team and we are very excited to open Jacob the Angel later this summer.”
Jacob the Angel is the latest in a series of new catering offers to open in Seven Dials, following the recently opened Boki, Bread Ahead, Nordic Bakery, Chick ‘n’ Sours, Cure and Cut and Saladpride.
