Which US Giant Just Dipped their Toe in Our Side of the Pond?
Chick-fil-A opened a pop-up store in Islington.
Chick-fil-A, the US QSR chain famous for its chicken sandwiches and synonymous with the Southern US, opened a pop-up store in London's Islington, albeit for a brief 24 hours.
The group is immensely popular in the US, where it is also known for its policy of not opening on Sundays.
CEO Dan Cathy made it to the event, though there is no word yet whether this signals a more permanent presence in the UK, though Chick-a-Fill did tell us "We are always exploring new ways to serve guests. Our one-day effort in the UK was an opportunity to continue our discovery of new methods to serve delicious, freshly prepared food and a wonderful experience".
