Costa Coffee expands into UK cinemas with major Cineworld deal
The agreement spans 10 years, with rollout planned throughout the year.
Costa Coffee has signed a deal with Cineworld to open coffee shops in up to 26 cinemas across the UK, replacing the cinemas’ current coffee provider.
The rollout will take place throughout the year, with the first locations expected to open this summer and most sites scheduled to be operating by the end of 2026.
The agreement runs for 10 years and will see Costa Coffee expand further into cinema and leisure venues with high visitor traffic.
Under the deal, Costa Coffee will offer its standard menu of drinks and food, including coffee, hot meals, and bakery products, as part of Cineworld’s food and beverage offering.
The new stores will use Costa Coffee’s current retail format, with seating areas, takeaway service, self-service ordering screens, and collection points aimed at cinema customers visiting before or after screenings.
Employees working at the existing coffee outlets in Cineworld locations will be offered the chance to remain in their roles and undergo retraining under Costa Coffee.
