KFC pledges to tackle litter issues with pilot programmes, staff training
The new set of initiatives builds on the chain’s existing litter strategy, which encourages its restaurants to undertake three litter picks a day.
KFC UK & Ireland has pledged to tackle litter issues across its 960-store network.
The fast food chain, which has partnered with Keep Britain Tidy's Great British Spring Clean, created a Litter Line mailbox so people are given a direct line to its head office to answer all issues related to litter.
Persons concerned will be able to email [email protected] to get direct help with any ongoing litter problems around KFC restaurants in their local areas.
KFC will also introduce new training for all its team members and will be consulting with local councils initially in five regions across England to roll out targeted, pilot programmes around tackling litter and exploring longer term and local solutions.
