Pret A Manger unveils new shop format to boost regional expansion

The trial begins in June with openings in Broughty Ferry and Maidenhead.

Pret A Manger is launching a new shop format that features more space for dining in, made-to-order food, and amenities for families, such as a children’s play area.

The trial begins in June with openings in Broughty Ferry and Maidenhead.

Pret’s franchise partners, Hala Group (Maidenhead) and Joup Group (Dundee), will operate the new shops.

Pret’s menu in these new shops will be made-to-order, featuring a longer counter where customers can watch their products being made.

There will be more space for dine-in customers, as well as a Little Stars Café play area for families with young children.

Full porcelain crockery will also be provided, whilst there will only be one ‘ready-to-go’ refrigerated shelf for those customers on the move.

Pret is also introducing a separate menu tailored to sit-down dining, which includes new hot food options like ciabattas and sourdough toasties, expanded breakfast items, and a larger range of baked goods.

A new, lightly roasted organic coffee blend exclusive to these new shops will be available alongside the existing drinks menu.
