Zizzi caught up in latest Russian spy drama

A Zizzi branch in Salisbury has been temporarily shut by police 'as a precaution', as they investigate the mystery collapse of former Russian agent Sergei Skirpal.

Skirpal, who was living in the town following a spy swap with Russia in 2010, may have dined at the chain before collapsing, along with his companion, in a local shopping centre, having been exposed to an 'unknown substance'.

Although authorities do not know what the 'unknown substance' is, or where Skripal may have come in to contact with it, the case does bring to mind the poisoning of Alexander Litvinenko in London, which resulted in the temporary closure of the Itsu outlet on Picadilly.
