Carluccio's Irish business to be wound up: report
The restaurant chain employs about 60 people in Ireland.
The Irish business of Carluccio’s will be wound up next month following its British parent’s acquisition by Boparan Restaurant Group (BRG), according to a report by The Irish Times.
The publication noted that the company intends proposing to appoint accountant Jim McStay of Dublin firm McStay Luby as liquidator. Carluccio’s Ireland Ltd, which owns two restaurants, has also called a creditors’ meeting on 10 June.
BRG bought Carluccio’s in Britain from administrator FRP Advisory, appointed to engineer a rescue for the Italian restaurant chain business.
