Olympic diver Tom Daley joins McDonald’s ‘McCafé Moments’ campaign

McDonald’s UK teamed up with Olympic diver and TV personality, Tom Daley, for its 'McCafé Moments’ campaign. In partnership with Channel 4, the campaign will see Tom Daley and his best friend Sophie Lee react to significant TV moments, as they happen.

The popular ads will continue to run on Channel 4 during peak-time programmes, such as Made in Chelsea, The Big Bang Theory and the widely anticipated Paralympic Games plus many more across Channel 4, E4, More4 and Channel 4’s digital service All4.

The first advert starring Tom will air on the 4th June and will see him and Sophie discuss an episode of The Big Bang Theory whilst enjoying a McCafé beverage. Alongside this, McDonald’s will be continuing to showcase real customers and their reactions to content viewers have just watched, embedding McCafé into key TV moments across the summer.

Tom Daley said: ‘It’s great to be involved with an award winning campaign like ‘McCafé Moments’. Having seen the adverts on TV I really liked the concept and thought it was a great conversation starter. Plus getting to work with my best friend is always an added bonus!”

Head of Food and Beverage Marketing at McDonald’s UK, Steven Howells said: “It’s great to have Tom involved with ‘McCafé Moments’ - he’s a great athlete and well-known personality. This campaign has really resonated with viewers by creating real and honest conversations, which I think is clear from Tom and Sophie’s shoot, so we’re excited to see what happens next.”
