Japanese chain Wasabi partners with Sainsbury to launch retail range

The new offerings will only be available until January 30.

Wasabi has announced that they launched their new ready-made meals in Sainsbury supermarkets.

The range features Sweet Chilli Chicken, Thai Green Curry, Chicken Katsu Curry and the vegan Tofu Curry. It includes either white rice or stir-fried yakisoba noodles.

“We are delighted that our home bento meals will be available exclusively at Sainsbury’s. Our bento is always a really popular choice with our customers within our own Wasabi stores,” Frederic Lluch, managing director for Wasabi, said.

“To now offer the same restaurant quality product from our ready to heat range for Sainsbury’s customers is really exciting. We’re thrilled that shoppers will now be able to enjoy their favourite Wasabi dishes in the comfort of their own kitchen,” he added.

Each offering is a 450g portion and is only available in Sainsbury and online until January 30.
