Itsu opens hot food-centered concept in London, eyes over 20 stores

The outlet features self-service kiosks where customers can customise their orders.

Itsu has launched a new concept specifically dedicated to hot food.

Located in Lima Street in London, offerings from the new Itsu [hot] include rice, noodle pots and breakfast dishes like bacon bao buns and miso poached eggs.

Items from their company’s collaboration with 2011 Masterchef winner Tim Anderson, including a range of warm salads, soup, rice and noodle bowls, will also be available.

Customers can also customise their orders, including an option to add extra protein, gyoza or falafel burgers via self-service kiosks.

“40% of orders made via the screens are customised in some way, which is why we plan to role the concept out to around 23 more stores in the coming months,” itsu founder Julian Metcalfe said in a statement.

Itsu [hot] also features new waste bins and is using fewer sushi fridges as part of their move to becoming sustainable.
