
LEON, Miller & Carter Steakhouse amongst Brit's top takeaway, eat-out chains: YouGov
Most regions favour savoury brands.
LEON is Britain’s highly preferred restaurant chain for takeaways and eat-outs, scoring 55 in customer advocacy, recent data from YouGov has revealed.
The favourite food map showed the Brit’s varied taste preferences with their choice of restaurant brands.
The healthy QSR chain is followed by Miller & Carter Steakhouse (51), whilst two Asian-inspired chains Wasabi (45) and itsu (43) came in third and fourth respectively. Vintage Inn was ranked fifth with 38.
For homegrown brands, Greggs remained to be the North East’s favourite, whilst Cornwall still preferred pasty, especially if coming from West Cornwall Pasty Co.
The people of Wales and West Midlands preferred Miller & Carter Steakhouse. In Yorkshire and the Humber, the burger chain MEATliquor comes on top.
The report noted that whilst most regions have a knack for savoury food, North West is the only region with a sweet tooth with Millie’s Cookies as their brand of choice. The Chinese buffet restaurant Jimmy Chung is Scotland’s top eat-out restaurant.
Moreover, outer Londoners chose Franco Manca, which suggested they like their pizza with a very high bread-to-cheese ratio, whilst inner Londoners prefer the Mexican chain Wahaca.
