Greggs picks Just Eat as nationwide delivery partner

The bakery chain’s delivery rollout kicked off in Birmingham and Bristol.

Greggs has confirmed Just Eat as its exclusive delivery partner after some trials with the delivery company since 2017.

The bakery chain’s delivery rollout kicked off in Birmingham and Bristol.

Lined up in the delivery launch are Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield and Nottingham in the spring, as per customer votes via Just Eat’s online poll. Cities with the highest delivery demand are prioritised.

Food items up for deliveries include Sausage Roll, Steak Bake, and breakfast packages.

Just Eat first trialled a delivery partnership with Greggs in Newcastle last June. The bakery chain also tried doing delivery with Deliveroo and Uber Eats.

Meanwhile, the majority of Just Eat shareholders have taken the £5.9bn merger deal offer with the Dutch delivery firm Takeaway.com.
