
Honest Burgers details support to NHS, staff amidst COVID-19 shutdown
The chain donated their entire store of leftover burgers to local charities and NHS workers.
Honest Burgers has detailed its set of initiatives amidst the country-wide lockdown due to COVID-19.
Aside from donating their entire store of leftover burgers to local charities and NHS workers, the chain has made and donated 3000 ready meals via City Harvest) in late March including 400 spaghetti bolognaises made at the Honest butchery, using seasonal ingredients from their March and April specials.
Honest Burgers also donated hundreds of kilograms of their premium Native breed British grass-fed finely chopped beef steak to care homes and charities.
The chain kept all their staff retained by issuing a 50% pay package, which was self-funded. Internal support has also been offered to all staff members to assist in finding alternative jobs in other industries if they wish to do so.
Honest Burgers has developed an internal programme of activities and content for their team which includes streaming Honest radio shows, Spotify playlists, pub quizzes, HIIT (high-intensity interval training) led by founder Tom Eeles and others.
