McDonald's calls on franchisees, customers to help raise £1 million for charity
All McDonald’s UK restaurants are aiming to try to raise £1million for Ronald McDonald House Charities this October.
Ronald McDonald House Charities provides home-from-home accommodation to families with children in hospital. From fundraising events, text donations, the sale of a range of soft toys and counter-top fundraising boxes, the brand said that it is hoping that their restaurants and customers can break the million pound mark with a week-long campaign.
McDonald's said that hundreds of stores will host fundraising events on Saturday 31st October with car washes, face-painting and fancy dress, whilst a range of four soft toys will be sold in store with all profits going to the charity.
Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) is an independent charity which means the donations and fundraising efforts of supporters are vital to the families who stay in their Houses.
Customers who would like to get involved are invited to do the following
- Visit your local restaurant to buy one of the RMHC soft toys for £2.50*
- Take part in the fundraising events at your local restaurant or donate via countertop boxes
- Text RMHC00 (Plus donation amount) to 70070
