McDonald's expresses support for The Great British Spring Clean
The fast food chain is calling on Brits to participate.
McDonald's has expressed support for The Great British Spring Clean, which seeks to collect, recycle or safely dispose of litter from streets, parks and beaches from the 22nd of March to 23rd April.
In its newsletter, the fast food chain invited concerned Brits to join forces with community organisations, business, and the government to tidy up and help the environment.
“We are calling on #LitterHeroes across the country to help improve the environment on their doorstep,” Keep Britain Tidy, the organisers of the movement, said on its website. “So join us, as we prepare to stand together and declare that litter pollution, including single-use plastic – which degrades the beauty of our environment and threatens to harm wildlife – is not acceptable.”
