Starbucks highlights people's experiences of transitioning in new campaign

The coffee chain also aims to raise at least £100,000 to help support young transgender people.

Starbucks recently launched its #whatsyourname campaign, highlighting the experiences of people who were transitioning.

The coffee chain’s latest video ad, Every Name’s A Story, features a transitioning young lad who used his preferred name in ordering a Starbucks drink.

The ad, created in partnership with creative agency Iris, won Channel 4’s Diversity in Advertising Award.

Moreover, Starbucks also teamed up with youth charity Mermaids to raise at least £100,000 via sale of a special edition Mermaid cookie across their stores for the charity’s services to the transgender community.
