The Vurger Co. raises £1.4m in latest funding round

The vegan burger concept is slated to open its third site in Brighton in March.

The Vurger Co. has secured a £1.4 million investment from its recent funding round.

The latest investment round was led by Sebastiano Cossia Castiglioni and private equity firm Dismatrix Group’s Miray Zaki.

“This investment will allow us to expedite our growth plans, open new sites and grow our retail business as we head into 2020,” co-founder Rachel Hugh said in a statement.

The Vurger Co. also announced it is opening its third site in Brighton in March.

The burger concept launched its first two sites in Shoreditch and Canary Wharf in 2018 from a £300,000 investment via Crowdcube in 2017.
