YO! debuts new look at Ashford Designer Outlet

The Japanese food group seeks to create more opportunities to seat families and groups together

YO! announced the opening of a new site at Ashford Designer Outlet featuring its new design and a new look kaiten belt.

The 2,228 sq ft site intends to showcase a simplified design with increased use of natural materials, such as Ash and burnt larch that evoke the Japanese understanding of nature, order and simplicity.

The kaiten belt, which flows through 3 large communal tables and can seat 54 people in total, is said to “put food at the heart of the experience” and allow greater flexibility accessibility for all guests.

The site will also feature a to-go area for those looking for grab and go options.

“We’ve spent the last 18 months looking at how we fully capitalise on the opportunity we have to lead the charge in democratising Japanese food and sushi by making it more accessible for more people. In order to do this, we need to be able to deploy different formats and options depending on the site and customer mix,” YO! CEO Richard Hodgson said.
