Mexican chain Zambrero eyes 100 restaurants in the UK
The brand recently announced the launch of its franchise recruitment programme.
Australia-headquartered Mexican chain Zambrero announced plans to open 100 restaurants by 2030, following the announcement of its franchise recruitment programme.
The brand is recruiting franchise partners to become part of its Zam Fam, the brand’s network of franchise restaurant owners and business support specialists. Zambrero is also seeking Area Developers to help accelerate its franchise partner recruitment process across the UK.
Zambrero also announced that it has already signed three franchise partners who will open new sites within the next 12 months, starting with the launch of a restaurant in Scotland.
Zambrero was founded in Australia in 2005 by Dr. Sam Prince, one of Australia’s most successful entrepreneurs and philanthropists. It is now a global brand, with more than 300 restaurants in Australia, New Zealand, the USA, Ireland and the UK, and is the largest Mexican restaurant franchise in both Australia and Ireland.
It first opened its restaurant in the UK in 2021 and now has 13 restaurants around England, located in London, Manchester, Birmingham, Reading and Essex.
“We’ve had great success through multi-site ownership in other markets, including Australia and Ireland, with more than half of our Franchise Partners wanting to go again and open more restaurants. We love this energy and enthusiasm for the brand and hope to find like-minded Franchise Partners here in the UK,” Emily Teh, CEO of Zambrero UK, said.
The expansion plans will create 1,500 jobs, including full and part-time roles.
