Belgo's Centraal restaurant reopens with new look and beer tasting initiative
The restaurant says they are positive that the new element will be a hit.
Belgo's flagship Centraal restaurant in Covent Garden has reopened with a new look and a new beer tasting concept.
The initiative consists of a food and beer pairing program conducted by a Master of Beer having groups of six to eight persons. The program not only teaches the guests how to differentiate a series of beer varieties, but will also create opportunities for them to make their beer-based cocktails.
The new look of the 420-cover restaurant now includes a new wall art, beer-hall tables and benches, church chairs, a bar and an overlooking an open plan theatre kitchen.
“We always aim to stay on the front foot of consumer trends and it’s no surprise there is an ever-growing consumer demand for craft beers across the UK. With this in mind, we really scrutinised our existing offer and not only wanted to introduce an even bigger range, but an educational experience too, which is fun, engaging and also plays homage to its Belgian roots,” says Chris Anderton, Belgo’s Operation Director.
“Belgo has a unique positioning and has been offering craft beer in traditional style even before the UK boom, so we’re confident this new element will be a success with customers.”
