
Itsu eyes 100 international stores opening by 2025
The Asian-inspired chain announced it is launching stores in France and New York.
Itsu has announced its plan to open 100 international stores in the next five years, with 50 outlets centered in the UK.
The Asian-inspired chain is seeking a combined restaurant and grocery sales of more than £500 million by 2025.
The chain also disclosed it is opening two upcoming stores at Orly Airport in France and another in New York. Further details have yet to be confirmed.
Last month, the Asian street food brand launched the hot food-dedicated itsu [hot] in London’s Lima Street, planning to roll out 23 more of the concept in the new year.

The company’s grocery business grew by 78% over the past two years with forecasted revenue of £17 million in 2019, whilst regional venues delivered 10% like-for-like average sales growth.
With 75 stores currently trading, itsu is expecting its 2020 sales to grow to £150 million with a cash profit of £12 million and net profit of £3 million.
