Shawarma bar concept Shawa to open in West London
The concept aims to “change the perception” of the food type.
Comptoir Group is returning to the Westfield shopping centre in London this September with new shawarma bar concept Shawa Lebanese Grill.
Created by Kitous and Comptoir Group CEO Chaker Hanna, the concept aims to “change the perception of the shawarma” and “to shake off the reputation of a 3am post nightclub kebab.”
Shawa’s menu features traditional shawarma dishes, featuring tender lamb shoulder and chicken breast, as well as vegetarian options.
Comptoir Libanais CEO Chaker Hanna said: “If the pandemic has taught us anything, it’s that relationships are so important, it’s good relationships with our staff, suppliers, landlords, banks and sites like Westfield which have meant we are able to come out of the last year with a view to keep on growing the Comptoir Group, and this starts with the opening of Shawa.”
Aside from Shawa in Westfield, opening in early September, and Bluewater, Comptoir Group operates 24 further Comptoir Libanais sites and owns Yalla Yalla and Kenza.
