Wagamama opens first site in France
The Paris location also features the brand's vegan menu.
Wagamama’s pan-Asian cuisine has now arrived in France.
The chain's first restaurant opened in Place Du Budapest, near Gare St Lazare last Feburary 4, done in partnership with French food service group FDC Croissance.
Wagamama’s menu in France consists of a variety of its rice and noodle dishes, such as its ramen bowls, katsu curries and japanese donburi rice bowls. The restaurant has also opened with wagamama’s popular vegan menu, following its positive reception in the UK.
Covering 300 sqm, the restaurant can accommodate 130 covers and is open six days a week. Its interior design is modern, distinctive and features the chain's canteen-style benches along with a variety of loose and fixed seating geared towards families, couples and larger groups. An outdoor terrace with an additional 50 covers will be added later in the year.
“Over the last few years, diners have been embracing many different types of cuisine so it’s the perfect time to bring wagamama to France with its enthusiasm for a variety of tastes and flavours. We’ve found an exciting franchise partner in FDC Croissance who have made a great start on their wagamama journey with the opening of Place du Budapest," Brian Johnston, wagamama’s International Managing Director said.
