Benugo, National History Museum to launch carbon labelling system on food
It will inform visitors of their food choices based on environmental impact.
Benugo has partnered with the Natural History Museum to roll out carbon labelling for cakes and chilled food in the former’s stores.
The system was developed by Foodprint from Nutritics, an automated and award-winning environmental impact scoring system for the hospitality and food service sector.
“Its labels highlight scoring levels of carbon impact from A-E, with A being the most climate-friendly choice,” read the statement.
After a pilot, Foodprint will be implemented on Benugo’s food and drink and will be applied to other sites.
