Costa Coffee introduces first plant-based FMCG drink range
\It will be exclusively available in Tesco stores.
Costa Coffee has launched its first plant-based Ready-to-Drink (RTD) product.
Launching exclusively in over 500 Tesco stores nationwide the 750ml Oat Latte combines the rich, aromatic flavours of Costa Coffee's Signature Blend with creamy oats.
According to Costa Coffee’s Mark Cumming, Head of FMCG UK&I, the new drink was created because key research found that consumers prefer oat milk in coffee, with creaminess cited as the main driver behind oat preference.
“We are excited to introduce our 750ml Oat Latte, a product that demonstrates our ongoing commitment to innovation in our RTD range. We understand that consumers today seek not only great taste but also products that align with their lifestyle or dietary requirements,” Cumming said.
The launch is part of Costa Coffee’s plans to leverage the ongoing diversification of the RTD coffee segment, marked by the introduction of new flavours, functions, and formats, to become the fastest-growing major brand in RTD coffee.
Founded in London by Italian brothers Sergio and Bruno Costa in 1971, Costa Coffee is present in 45 countries around the world, with more than 2,800 coffee shops in the UK & Ireland and 1,300 globally.
