Greggs set to trial concessions at Asda
The bakery chain is launching in five of the supermarket stores in England.
Greggs is slated to trial its debut bakery concessions at five Asda stores in England, with the first opening in March, the supermarket company has announced.
These concessions coming at the supermarket’s Boldon, Corby, Huyton, Wigan and Eastlands stores will be selling the same in-store products from the bakery giant, such as breakfast rolls, vegan items and coffee.
The announcement comes as the supermarket brand zeroes in on launching partnership-led trials in the year.
“We are constantly looking for new ways to increase customer choice, and by partnering with brands that fit with our core values of great quality and great value – like Greggs - we’re excited to be able to give our customers access to something new in store that we know they will love,” Asda chief strategy officer Preyash Thakrar said in a statement.
