Hospitality sales double in Manchester, Birmingham

Manchester leads in top hospitality sales in UK cities.

The CGA by NielsenIQ’s top cities report recorded double digit sales for hospitality sectors in Manchester and Birmingham.

“Manchester heads the list of top cities, ahead of Birmingham, which makes the top two for the fourth time in a row. Both cities recorded double-digit sales growth in the latest four-week period,” read the statement.

Pubs, bars, and restaurants posted positive sales in Britain’s major cities but high inflation is making it difficult.

The connectivity solutions provider Wireless Social, which is also part of the index, showed combined sales in Britain’s 10 most populous cities in the four weeks to 22 October 2022 were 4% higher than in the same period in 2019.
