
Wendy's announces President and CEO Kirk Tanner's exit
CFO Ken Cook has been appointed as the interim CEO of the company.
The Wendy's Company announced that President and CEO Kirk Tanner is leaving the company, effective 18 July.
Tanner will be joining The Hershey Company as President and CEO.
Wendy's Board of Directors has launched a comprehensive search process to select a permanent CEO.
In the meantime, Wendy’s has appointed Ken Cook, its chief financial officer, as interim CEO.
Cook will continue in his current finance role alongside his temporary leadership duties.
Before joining Wendy’s, Cook spent two decades at UPS, where he held various senior financial roles, including CFO of its US operations.
Separately, Bradley G. Peltz is joining Wendy’s board of directors, replacing Matthew H. Peltz, who has resigned.
The Wendy's Company is scheduled to release its second quarter 2025 results on 8 August 2025.
