Madrid's MYKA enters UK market with London debut
The new outlet will produce MYKA's Greek frozen yoghurt on-site each day.
Greek frozen yoghurt chain MYKA will open its first UK store in mid-July at St. Christopher's Place in central London as part of its international expansion.
The Madrid-founded brand currently operates 43 stores and says it has signed more than 270 franchise agreements across 26 countries.
It has already opened locations in cities including Madrid, Paris, New York, Miami, and Mexico City, with Hong Kong and São Paulo planned next.
The London store will produce MYKA's Greek frozen yoghurt on-site each day using Greek yoghurt and goat's milk kefir.
The company says its recipe is designed to retain the characteristics of traditional Greek yoghurt whilst offering a frozen dessert that is high in protein, naturally contains probiotics, and has a creamy texture.
In addition to its original Greek frozen yoghurt, the menu will feature two seasonal flavours that change monthly.
Customers will be able to choose from a range of toppings, including handmade crumbles, fruit compotes, granola, and baklava, and customise their desserts.
The company said it chose London because of its food scene and selected St. Christopher's Place for its mix of independent businesses, restaurants, and pedestrian-friendly setting.
MYKA was founded by Natalia Morales and Javier Ezquerro.
Morales has a background in hospitality and pastry, whilst Ezquerro has worked in international business.
