KFC returns to Sunderland after nine years
It has created 50 jobs.
The new restaurant features KFC’s latest design created for busy city and town centres.
KFC operations area coach for Sunderland Russell Gunning said, “I’m a big fan of the new restaurant design – it looks amazing. I’m so happy that KFC has returned to Market Square and I’m especially proud to be opening my first KFC restaurant as an Area Coach. The team and I can’t wait for fans to come in and see the restaurant first hand.”
In the coming weeks, the restaurant will be involved in KFC’s Food Donation Scheme, which sees unsold chicken frozen and donated to a local charity partner.
Located in Market Square, the store is open 10:30am-11pm, from Monday to Sunday.
