
Shake Shack posts 20% YoY rise in licensed revenue in Q2
Adjusted EBITDA rose by 24.8% to $58.9m.
Shake Shack saw a 20% year-on-year (YoY) increase in revenue from its licensed operations in the second quarter of 2025 (Q2 2025), reaching $13.3m.
Total licensing sales grew by 15.9% to $206.7m. The company added nine new licensed locations, mainly in the US, Canada, and the Middle East.
In China, trends improved YoY as the company focused on menu innovation and daypart opportunities.
Overall revenue grew 12.6% YoY to $356.5m, including $343.2m of Shack sales and $13.3m of licensing revenue.
System-wide sales climbed 13.7% to $549.9m, whilst same-store sales were up 1.8%.
Operating income reached $22.4m, whilst restaurant-level profit came in at $82.2m, or 23.9% of Shack sales.
Net income totalled $18.5m, with earnings of $0.41 per diluted share attributable to Shake Shack Inc.
Adjusted EBITDA rose by 24.8% to $58.9m.
The company opened 13 new company-operated restaurants, including two with drive-thrus, and added nine new licensed locations.
